About the Delete PDF Pages

Blank scanner pages, an outdated price list or a page with private details can all be reasons to cut a page out before sharing a PDF. This tool shows every page as a thumbnail; you mark the ones to drop and download the document without them. Everything else, including the order and the content of the remaining pages, stays exactly as it was.

What you can do

• Mark any number of pages for removal by clicking their thumbnails; nothing is marked at the start.
• Change your mind and unmark a page before saving.
• Get a copy with the marked pages gone and all other pages untouched.
• The result is named after the original with "-pages-removed" added, so you can tell the two apart.
• Thumbnails make it easy to spot blank or mostly empty pages without opening the file in another app.

When it works best

• Cleaning up blank or duplicate pages left behind by a document feeder.
• Removing a cover sheet, terms page or advert before forwarding a PDF.
• Dropping a page with personal information when the rest of the file must be shared.
• Trimming a downloaded e-book sample or report down to the pages you actually want to print.

Things to know

• You cannot remove every page; at least one has to stay.
• If you need to keep only a few pages out of many, Extract PDF Pages is quicker because you mark the ones to keep instead.
• Deleting a page removes it completely, but hiding just one line or name on a page is a job for Redact PDF.
• Your document is edited locally in the browser and never uploaded.
• Removing a page does not clean up a table of contents or bookmarks that point to it; review those if the PDF has them.
