About the Reorder PDF Pages

Double-sided scans, merged files and exported slide decks often come out with pages in the wrong sequence. Instead of exporting everything again, you can drag the page thumbnails into the right order here and save a new copy. The pages themselves are copied unchanged, so text remains searchable and images keep their original quality.

What you can do

• See the whole document as a grid of numbered thumbnails.
• Drag a page by its handle and drop it anywhere else in the grid.
• Move as many pages as you like before clicking Save new order.
• Each thumbnail shows its original page number, so you can keep track of where every page came from while dragging.

When it works best

• Fixing a two-sided scan where all the back pages ended up after the front pages.
• Moving an appendix or summary page to the front of a merged report.
• Putting chapters, receipts or slides into date or topic order before sharing.
• Reordering the pages of several merged PDFs once you see how the combined file reads.

Things to know

• This tool only changes order. To remove pages use Delete PDF Pages, and to turn sideways pages use Rotate PDF.
• Dragging thumbnails is easiest on a computer; on a phone, use the handle on each thumbnail rather than the page image.
• Very long PDFs take a moment to render all their thumbnails before you can start.
• All of the work happens in your browser; the PDF is not uploaded.
• The saved file keeps all pages; if a page is missing from the result, it was not in the original.
