About the HTML to PDF
Saving a web page or an HTML email as a PDF gives you a copy that will not change or disappear. This tool takes either HTML you paste in or the address of a public web page, lays the content out on pages of the size you choose, and returns a PDF. It renders on our server with TCPDF and never runs scripts from the page.
What you can do
- Paste HTML code directly, up to about 1 MB, or enter the URL of a public page.
- Choose A4, Letter or Legal pages, in portrait or landscape.
- Set the margin anywhere from 0 to 50 mm.
- Keep images that are embedded in the HTML as data URIs.
- The PDF from a URL is named after the site's domain instead of a generic file name.
When it works best
- Turning an HTML invoice, receipt or report template into a PDF.
- Saving a copy of a simple article or documentation page.
- Converting an HTML email layout into a printable record.
- Producing a print-ready version of HTML generated by your own app or script.
Things to know
- JavaScript, external stylesheets and remote images are not loaded, so pages that build their content with scripts or rely on linked CSS come out plain or empty.
- The renderer supports common HTML and inline styles but not modern layouts like flexbox or grid. Simple, table-based HTML converts best.
- Only public addresses are fetched: private and internal network addresses are blocked, and pages over 10 MB are rejected.
- The PDF is kept on the server only for your download and deleted automatically within about 30 minutes.
