About the PDF Editor
Most PDFs were never meant to be edited. The format stores text as positioned glyphs rather than flowing paragraphs, which is why fixing a typo in a contract or filling in a scanned form usually means asking for the original Word file or paying for desktop software. This editor opens the PDF directly in your browser tab, lets you work on the page as it looks, and writes a new PDF when you download — the file never leaves your device.
What you can change
- Edit existing text by clicking it, or add new text boxes anywhere on the page with your choice of font, size, colour, bold and italic.
- Find and replace a word or phrase across every page, which is the fastest way to update a name, date or price that appears many times.
- Cover content with whiteout, redact sensitive lines, highlight passages, or draw freehand, rectangles, ellipses and arrows.
- Place images, signatures and stamps, and repeat an image such as a logo on every page.
- Add links to a website or another page, and build fillable form fields — text boxes, checkboxes and dropdowns with required flags and character limits.
- Reorder, rotate, duplicate and delete pages, or insert blank pages where you need extra room.

- Correcting a typo, date or figure in a PDF you received without the source file.
- Filling in and signing an application, lease or invoice that was not built as a fillable form.
- Removing personal details before sharing a statement or report.

Things to know
- Text in a scanned PDF is part of an image, so it cannot be edited directly. Run the file through PDF OCR first, or cover the old text with whiteout and type over it.
- When the original font is not embedded in the file, edited text falls back to a similar font. Upload the exact .ttf, .otf or .woff file to keep the look consistent, including for non-Latin scripts.
- Whiteout hides content visually. For information that must be truly removed from the file, use redaction instead.
- Password-protected PDFs open once you enter the password. Your work is saved in this browser for up to seven days, so an accidental refresh does not lose your edits.
