About the PDF Summarizer (AI)

Long reports, research papers and contracts take time to read just to find out whether they matter to you. This tool sends the PDF to an AI model that reads the whole document, including tables and figures it can see, and writes a plain-language summary of three to six short paragraphs. The main points come back in the same order the document presents them.

What you can do

• Upload a PDF of up to 25 MB and get a summary written for a general reader, without jargon or filler.
• Follow the document's own structure, since points appear in the order the author made them.
• Choose which AI model runs the summary from the models available to your account.
• See an estimate of the credit cost before you start.

When it works best

• Deciding whether a long industry report or white paper is worth reading in full.
• Getting the gist of a policy, terms of service or tender document before a meeting.
• Briefing a colleague on a paper or case file you have not had time to read.

Things to know

• You need to sign in with a verified email address. Runs are paid with credits, or with your own Anthropic or Google API key connected in your account.
• The PDF is sent to the AI provider you choose so its model can read it. Do not upload documents you are not allowed to share with a third party.
• A summary is capped at a few paragraphs, so very long books lose detail. Summarise chapters separately with Split PDF if you need more depth.
• AI summaries can miss nuance or get a figure wrong; check anything important against the source. For specific questions, Chat with PDF is a better fit.
