About the PDF Changes Summary (AI)

A line-by-line diff tells you which lines changed, but not what the changes mean. Upload an original and a revised PDF and this tool asks an AI model to read both and list, in short bullet points, what was added, removed or reworded in a way that affects meaning. Page numbers, spacing and other purely cosmetic differences are ignored.

What you can do

  • Upload two PDFs of up to 25 MB each: the original first, the revised version second.
  • Get a bulleted list of meaningful changes, including additions, removals and rewordings.
  • Catch changes that a text diff hides, such as a sentence moved to another section or a reworded obligation.
  • Check the estimated credit cost before you run it.

When it works best

  • Reviewing a revised contract, lease or employment agreement before signing.
  • Explaining to a team what changed between two versions of a policy or specification.
  • Comparing two quotes or proposals that cover the same work.

Things to know

  • Signing in with a verified email is required, and runs use credits or your own Anthropic or Google API key.
  • Both documents are sent to the AI provider you choose.
  • A summary can leave out small edits. For an exhaustive line-by-line view that runs in your browser and needs no account, use Compare PDF.
  • Treat the summary as a guide to where to look, then read the changed passages yourself before relying on them.

Frequently asked questions

The original goes in the first slot and the revised version in the second, so additions and removals are reported the right way round.
